May Thurner Syndrome?
May-Thurner Syndrome is a condition where the iliac vein in your pelvis is compressed by an adjacent artery which prevents blood from flowing properly. This condition can cause increased risk of blood clots as well as varicose veins in your legs.
How does it work?
May Thurner Syndrome is treated with a minimally invasive procedure which involves placing a stent in the compressed vein and allowing normal blood flow to be restored.
