Computer-Aided Detection
What is computer-aided detection?
Computer-Aided Detection is a device that assists the radiologist in detecting the earliest and most subtle signs of breast cancer. Although no available technology is capable of detecting every early breast cancer, when used and interpreted by our qualified specialist, the CAD system may detect up to 20% additional early breast cancers.
how do i get the results?
When your exam is completed and your films are run through the CAD system, the images will be evaluated by one of our board-certified Radiologists with expertise in Women’s Imaging. A final report will be sent to your doctor and you will receive a letter from X-Ray Associates with your results.
Service Locations
Computer Aided Detection is available in all offices offering Women’s Imaging services.
