Hemorrhoid Artery Embolization
A non-surgical approach to treating internal hemorrhoids to reduce pain and bleeding.
what is
Hemorrhoid Artery Embolization
Hemorrhoid artery embolization is a minimally invasive procedure that slows the blood flow to the arteries supplying your hemorrhoids. Over time, this treatment can help relieve your symptoms associated with internal hemorrhoids including bleeding, swelling and discomfort.
How Does iT Work?
Our interventional radiologist will use advance image-guided techniques to guide a small catheter to the arteries supplying the internal hemorrhoid. Once our interventional radiologist identifies your hemorrhoid arteries, an embolic agent will be delivered directly to those arteries to reduce blood flow, helping alleviate your symptoms over time.
