Masoud Shiehmorteza, M.D.

Dr. Shiehmorteza sub-specializes in abdominal and oncology imaging, with a keen interest in preventive and screening MR imaging.  He received his Fellowship training at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Prior to joining X-Ray Associates, Dr. Shiehmorteza served as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of San Diego California, and as an Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of New Mexico.  He has also been the Director of Abdominal Imaging and an onsite Assistant Program Director with VA New Mexico Healthcare System.

Dr. Shiehmorteza has numerous publications and presentations, for which he has received professional recognition and honors throughout his career.  He is a member of several professional organizations, including the International Contrast Ultrasound Society, Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), Society of Abdominal Radiology (SAR), American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), and American College of Radiology (ACR).

In his free time, Dr. Shiehmorteza enjoys pursuing a range of interests and hobbies, including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, table tennis, swimming, and chess.  He is fluent in both English and Persian/Farsi.
