X-Ray Associates of New Mexico is looking for a full time Certified Medical Assistant for our X-Ray Associates of Santa Fe office. This is a fast paced, deadline-driven Clinical Office. You will help make a positive difference in the patient experience and quality of care as a part time experienced Medical Assistant when you join this office. Expect multiple distractions on a tight schedule.
This position performs a wide variety of medical and clinical support functions in an Interventional Radiology setting.
Job-Related Responsibilities:
- Reviews upcoming cases and ensure all related reports, labs, and information is in patients’ medical records for upcoming appointments. Follows up as needed
- Confirms patient appointments and provides instructions.
- Follows up on physician orders
- Take telephone calls and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy as necessary
- Provide physician instructions to patients
- Chart on EMR system
- Scheduling patients
Skills/Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) Program preferred
- Must be certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and have completed a basic arrhythmia course
- Must be computer literate and have EMR charting experience
- Must have minimum of 2 years’ experience in physician’s office
